Eurecna

Eurecna has started a collaboration with the largest producer of olive oil in Morocco, CHCI of Meknes, for the implementation of a biomass cogeneration plant that will use large quantities of residues from the processing of olives.

The new power plant will have a capacity of 5 MW and will qualify for carbon reduction certificates under the Kyoto CDM scheme (Clean Development Mechanism).

The initiative has been promoted by the Italian and Moroccan Ministries of Environment, which have chosen Eurecna as technology and investment partner through a competitive tender.
